Execute Jobs
There are two ways to run Client Commands: one is through the Query Management interface in the Console, and the other is through the ACMP Kiosk.
Execute a Query that includes the clients on which you want to execute a Client Command. Select the desired target clients and click Run Jobs
. In the dialog that appears, you can select the Client Commands, Job Collections, system jobs, or Windows Update Collections to be executed. To do this, double-click each job you want to run. You can also drag and drop the jobs into the right pane.
Select jobs to execute
Among the jobs displayed, you can define the execution as a test and then specify which test ring should be used for the test. Clicking Next takes you to the next page of the wizard, where you can set the start conditions for the execution. If you do not want to set any start conditions, you can execute the jobs by clicking Run. The execution affects all previously selected Clients.
Quick Execution via the Ribbon Bar
Frequently used Client Commands can also be executed directly from the Query, provided that the option “Display in the Query Actions ribbon bar” has been selected in the Client Command Properties.

Quick Execution via the Context Menu
Another way to quickly execute client commands is through the context menu of each client. The Quick Command menu item lists all client commands that have been explicitly enabled as Quick Commands. These commands are executed on all selected clients.

Execute Client Commands via the Context Menu
If you have enabled client execution log storage in the Client Command options , you can view these logs in the Client Details under Client Commands Logs or open them via the Job- or Client Monitor.
Start Conditions
Unless you have specified otherwise in the start conditions, client commands will begin executing immediately.
You can read more about continuing to configure the start conditions and all related details in the start conditions section.
Delaying a Job
Job delay is disabled by default and is not intended to affect the user or the execution of a potential job at this time. To customize the settings, you must first enable the Users may delay job execution checkbox.

Allow job delay
Now that the prior activation has taken place, you can configure additional settings.
For example, specify how often the user is allowed to delay the job, or whether you want to set no restrictions (the user may delay execution as often as desired). Then specify which option should be used during shutdown. To do this, select whether the user is allowed to delay execution until the next shutdown or whether this is prohibited. Add a description that will be displayed to the logged-in user whenever a job is delayed. Click Execute to save your settings.
Configure the Job Delay Dialog
The job delay dialog that appears can be customized. For example, you can insert a logo in the upper-right corner or replace the background with your own image.
To make these changes, first navigate to the agent installation directory ACMPClient (e.g., C:\Program Files (x86)\ACMPClient). Now copy the graphics for the logo and the background into that directory. Please note the following specifications for the two graphics:
| Background | File name: JobDelayDialogBackground.bmp (the native resolution should be 592x193 pixels) |
| Logo | File name: JobDelayDialogBanner.bmp (the native resolution should be 110x42 pixels) |
Configure the Shutdown Dialog
Similar to the job delay dialog, you can also customize the shutdown dialog. To do this, the ShutdownDialog.exe interface loads the corresponding image files, allowing you to customize the interface and appearance to your corporate design. Note that a picture must be placed next to the clients for this purpose, which can be deployed via a Client Command. The Client Command places the picture file next to the client in the agent installation directory or in the directory where ACMPClientService.exe is located.
To make changes, first navigate to the agent installation directory ACMPClient (e.g., C:\Program Files (x86)\ACMPClient) and place the desired pictures there. The pictures should have the following dimensions:
| Background | File name: ShutdownDialogBackground.bmp (The native resolution should be 600x330 pixels. The default color is a deep blue). |
| Banner | File name: ShutdownDialogBanner.bmp (The native resolution should be 110x42 pixels. The default is the ACMP logo). |
