Sabrina V. 26.1 3 On this page, you can install the agent on your network clients. You’ll find a list of all clients on the Microsoft Windows Network here. All machines are listed by domain or workgroup. Next to each client is an icon, which is explained on the right side of the console. You can also see what type of client it is.

Sabrina V. 26.1 30 Please note that for installation within an IP range, it must be possible to “ping” the Clients. Therefore, make sure that your firewall and routers are configured accordingly and that “ping” is possible.

Sabrina V. 26.1 44 To perform the installation of the ACMP Agent, you can use the default account, a global account, or a specific account.

Sabrina V. 26.1 46 == Using a Global Account ==
jklein 1.1 47
Sabrina V. 26.1 48 If you specified during the installation of the ACMP Server that a file repository should be created for OS Deployment, the corresponding account will be displayed here. Alternatively, you can add additional global accounts. It is possible to select multiple global accounts for the installation.
jklein 1.1 49
Sabrina V. 26.1 50 == Use of a Specific Account ==
jklein 1.1 51
Sabrina V. 26.1 52 If you do not want to use either the default account or a global account for the installation, you can specify a specific account. To do this, you will need the username and password.
53 When installing within an IP range, you can specify that a new Client ID should be assigned.
jklein 1.1 54
Sabrina V. 26.1 55 = Delete Clients from the network Tree =
jklein 1.1 56
Sabrina V. 26.1 57 After installing ACMP, the network is scanned at configurable intervals (see [[Server Settings>>doc:ACMP.610.ACMP-Solutions.System.Einstellungen.ACMP Server.WebHome]]), and all newly discovered Clients are added to the network Tree. For clients that are found but already exist, only the date attribute in the //Last Seen// column is updated. Clients that already exist but were not found during the current scan are still displayed. This allows you to initiate a new installation even on clients that are currently unreachable.
jklein 1.1 58
Sabrina V. 26.1 59 [[Delete Clients from the network Tree>>image:Clients aus Netzwerkbaum löschen.png||alt="Clients aus Netzwerkbaum löschen"]]
jklein 1.1 60
Sabrina V. 26.1 61 If some clients have been permanently disconnected from the network or have been added to the network under a new name, you will still find these clients (possibly under their old names) in the network Tree. If you want to update the list of clients, you can remove all disconnected or deprecated clients from the list using the //Delete from Network Tree// function.
jklein 1.1 62
jklein 15.1 63 {{aagon.infobox}}
Sabrina V. 26.1 64 All Clients for which no datasets are available will be deleted.
jklein 15.1 65 {{/aagon.infobox}}
66
Sabrina V. 26.1 67 Alternatively, you can delete only specific Clients from the network Tree whose data is older than a number of days that you can define yourself. The number of days is determined by the date attribute in the //Last Seen// column. For example, you can delete three Clients that were taken out of service half a year ago, or 180 days ago.
