Client Management is used to logically structure your clients and permissions within ACMP. It allows you to organize clients, tenants, and tenant groups so that different teams or locations can view or manage only their respective areas.

To use multi tenancy, you must first create tenants and tenant groups. These tenants must always be created within a tenant group and cannot be created at the root level. To provide an overview of your company and authorization structure, tenants can be organized hierarchically within tenant groups.

Tenants cannot be created without a tenant group. Tenants or groups with the same name at the same level are not permitted.

To use the Client plugin correctly and create individual tenants, you must first create at least one tenant group.

If you have already created groups, you can rename them or move them using drag-and-drop, provided there is no entry with the same name at the destination level.

Proceed as follows:

~1. Navigate to //System > Clients// and click //Add// in the ribbon bar under //Tenant Groups//. A wizard will open.

In addition to adding tenant groups, you can also edit and delete them in the ribbon bar.

When a tenant group is deleted, the tenants it contains are deleted.

== Create Tenants ==

Select the appropriate query and click //Next//. Now select the clients you want to statically link to the new tenant.

Deleting a client removes all client mappings to that client. It will then appear in the “Unassigned Clients” tab.

If you want to delete a tenant but not the elements associated with it, you should first assign those elements to another tenant or convert them to global elements.

Starting Recalc will calculate all dynamic Client links, e.g., following rule changes or the addition of new Clients.

= Conflicts =

A conflict occurs when a client would be assigned to multiple clients due to dynamic filters. ACMP does not automatically assign such clients but lists them in the “Conflicts” tab for resolution. You will only see conflicts if multi tenancy is enabled.

The tab then displays all clients that cause conflicts due to the filters you’ve created and therefore cannot be dynamically assigned to a tenant.
