Using OS Deployment, you can automatically preconfigure Windows operating systems in ACMP and then deploy and install them on Clients across the network.

With OS Deployment, you can create Boot Images, store operating systems and product keys, and centrally manage drivers and answer files. Additionally, you can create Job Collections to assist with the installation of standard software.

Initially, a Windows PE image is used for booting.

The rollout requires several components that must be stored in ACMP, as well as some that can be stored optionally:

* Boot Image
* Operating system
* Answer file
* Rollout Template
* Product key (optional)
* Drivers (optional)
* Job Collection (optional)

To view and add these, navigate to //OS Deployment > Windows Deployment// //> Boot Images// in the ACMP Console.

In the workspace on the right, under //Status//, you will see a list of the components required for a Rollout and a display of whether the respective components have already been added to ACMP. Below that, you will see the components that can be added optionaly, as well as the status of the [[Network Boot Services>>doc:.Network Boot Service.WebHome]], which must be installed beforehand.
