To manage the ACMP Kiosk, the following options are available in the ribbon bar:

Add an Entry

To add an entry, there must always be a folder in which to create it. If a folder exists, select it and click Add Entry on the ribbon bar.

First, select whether the entry should be of the type Managed Software, Client Command, or Job Collection.

Hinweis  Note:

If you want to offer Windows Updates through the ACMP Kiosk, you must first create a corresponding Job Collection and then add it as an entry.

Depending on your selection, a window will open where you can access all the Managed Software packages you have subscribed to, all the approved Client Commands, or any Job Collections you have already created. Make your selection and confirm it.

You will now see all the values saved for your selection. These include the name and description (in both German and English) as well as the corresponding icons.

Hinweis  Note:

The icons are included directly with Managed Software Packages. You can customize all icons to suit your individual needs by using the “Assign” feature. This feature accesses existing pictures that you can manage yourself.

If you want to accept the default values or have customized them, click Next.

Hinweis  Note:

If you want to deploy a managed software package in the ACMP Kiosk, you can edit the individual parameters on the following page by double-clicking each one.

Next, configure the visibility settings for the Managed Software package in the ACMP Kiosk.

Visibility for Folders

Warning  Warning:

You can set the visibility of entire folders or individual items. Note that items will not appear, regardless of their visibility settings, if you do not have permission to view the parent folder.

Once you have added a folder, you can set its visibility.

Hinweis  Note:

Please note that the visibility settings for folders and items should not be confused with the conditions of a Client Command. Preconfigured conditions for a Client Command may prevent its execution in the ACMP Kiosk, even if it is displayed in the ACMP Kiosk and appears to be executable. For example, if you have configured a Client Command in advance to execute only on Windows 7 devices, that Client Command will not execute on devices running other versions of Windows—even if you have set visibility to “All Windows versions” in the ACMP Kiosk!

Hinweis  Note:

If you do not set visibility settings for the folders, they will be visible to everyone without restriction.

Visibility for Elements

You can set the visibility of entire folders or individual items. Note that items will not appear, regardless of their visibility settings, if you do not have permission to view the parent folder.

When adding an item to the ACMP Kiosk, you can set the visibility of that item.
